Released in 2017, Two Sides of the Same Coin is a 12 track small group jazz album that features Drew Zaremba as a leader, performer, composer and arranger. The title of the album refers to Drew’s passion for performing on both saxophone and organ. This ultimately led him to perform the first six tracks on saxophones, and the second half of the album on Hammond B3 organ. The album features an all star lineup of musicians from the Dallas Fort Worth area who perform a multitude of styles from an earthy Afro-Cuban groove on “The Hustle”, to a laid back Basie style swing on “Zaremba, Right Behind”.
The album features incredible musicians in both rhythm sections:
Side 1 features:
Addison Frei (piano)
Perrin Grace (bass)
Matt Young (drums)
Horace Bray (guitar)
Emily Davis (vocals)
Side 2 features:
Aaron Hedenstrom (saxophones)
Fred Hamilton (guitar)
Steve Barnes (drums)
