This famous Chinese folk tune has been reimagined into a jazz context, first a 12/8 afro cuban vibe, then a swinging tune. The 13 bar form works well as a blues, and then eventually makes its way over into a 12-bar blues form. The Chinese flute solo is easily replacable by soprano saxophone solo.
