Nightscape is a beautiful ballad that features the alto sax in a Strayhornian fashion. The alto also takes all of the blowing, but could be passed to the guitar or piano instead. The live cut from Drew Zaremba’s Fellowship Big Band provides a good source of style and interpretation.
