Polyfunkality was originally written for the wonderful program at Polytechnic High School, with Chris Stevens as their jazz director. This chart features the rhythm section primarily, the guitar in particular. The st. 16th groove is reminiscent of “Pools”, but goes into a quasi-baion halfway through the form.
