Description
Composed by Drew Zaremba (As recorded on Lab 2012)
ASCAP and Downbeat Award Winner 2012
Race to the Finish put Drew Zaremba on the map as a composer and arranger, winning him his first ASCAP Young Composers award in 2012. The fast, intense modern swing piece is a true challenge for all bands, and a satisfying closer or opener to any program. Originally recorded by UNT’s One O’ Clock Lab Band in 2012, the piece has enjoyed performances all over the world. For a high school friendly version with the written trumpet note at a high D instead of high F, go to Race to The Finish (High School Version).
