A fun “hot shuffle”, based on a 14-bar blues (a truncated 16 bar blues) that leaves lots of room for many soloists! Lots of challenges all around, with a fun piccolo part (opt. flute) on lead alto, an extended brass plunger soli, and room for the drums to trade with the band at the end. Paying lots of homage to Thad and Clayton on this one!
